9 November 2014- "Gratitude unlocks..."

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.

- Melody Beattie

Mormon 1:1

And now I, Mormon, make a record of the things which I have both seen and heard, and call it the Book of Mormon.

........
This week was awesome. I felt The Holy Spirit to be my constant companion with so much strong than in any other time in my life. In the last thursday after a lesson with one of our investigators I felt a ton of love through the influence of the Spirit and it make me talk with everyone person that we meet in the way to the food appointment, and through all the day We worked hard and we fix a Ton of appointments for new people we were finding. And in the other days of the week (friday, Saturday and Sunday) we work with all our strengh to teach and find people, but it look like every people are rejecting us with little exceptions, But in the night each days at planning I felt the sweet feeling of the Spirit confirming that I had Done all in my reach to help others and invite them to come unto Christ, I just read your letter this morning and when I read it I felt Like it was directed to me . And in the last Ward Council (there were some rumors about that some of the members of the council don't want us to be there every Sunday, because we use almost a lot of time in the council) we talk about the ward mission plan and the vision the council has for the Ward, And after ask about it and read a little part of PMG in the council the Spirit came with a Strengh as I never felt in a council, then through almost each member of the council we receive the revelation to Hasten the work of salvation and the presidents in the council fix goals of attendance to each organization for the end of the year. The vision in this ward is changing, I know that actually we don't have a lot of lessons as we want but we are changing the vision of the work and I know because the Spirit Has Testified to me that we are doing our best and we are obligating the Lord to Bless us. I have felt the assurance that we are going to achieve our goals for the month of December and even for more time. But the most important Is that no matter what is going to happen when I go home, I have "a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men". In my latter studies I have learn a Ton about the doctrine of the gospel, but today when I read the words of the Lord to Moroni:
" And it came to pass that the Lord said unto me: If they have not charity it mattereth not unto thee, thou hast been faithful; wherefore, thy garments shall be made clean. And because thou hast seen thy weakness thou shalt be made strong, even unto the sitting down in the place which I have prepared in the mansions of my Father."
The Spirit of the Lord touch me so hard with the words "thou hast been faithful", actually I feel a sweet joy in my heart and I know that I have been faithful to the things that the Lord has requiered of me til this day.

Thanks dad,(President) thanks for help me to reach my potential as missionary I know that there is things to do but I know that I'm on the Lord's errand, and he is pleased with me, We are going to continue working and giving our best to the Lord, have a Great week and the Lord'll continue sustaining you and sister Egbert
with love,
Elder R

(This Elder is just finishing up his training- and his trainer will be completing his mission in two weeks and be returning home.)

Dear President,

Hope you are doing well. I had a very successful week in almost all aspects of the mission, I saw a lot of improvement this week!

I started this week with a personal goal of getting the most out of exercise and being exactly obedient to the morning schedule. I prayed sincerely for Heavenly Father to help me because mornings have always been a struggle for me. With the help of our Father and heaven and a sincere desire to change, I've become a much more productive missionary in the morning. I know that if we include Heavenly Father in our life, that we can become what we want to be quickly and more easily. This is something that keeps repeating itself through the mission.

Id say my biggest success this week would be that we brought 5 people to church yesterday. My companion and I made a goal to talk about going to church and baptism in every lesson we taught and I honestly feel that that was a game changer. This week we didnt have to drag everyone to church like we usually do. Our investigators understood the reason we go to church, and made a goal to go. Im hoping to get 4 out of these 5 investigators baptized this cycle because they should have the church days if they come the next 2 weeks. Its amazing how many new things you can try as a missionary, and how just one little goal like this could change so much.

The mission is treating me well, I look forward to where it will take me. While I love the situation Im in with my area and companion, Im excited to see how a new companion and new circumstances will teach me as my companion leaves this cycle.
Thanks for all you do.

NO TIME TO BE SICK IN THIS MISSION

This week we had our Mision Mexico Pachuca Flu Shoot Out... look at those sad and pouty faces... I still owe them all a candy sucker. They were so brave and each zone was done in less than 10-15 minutes. Talk about efficient missionaries.

Until next year....

Tecamac 1 Zone Capacitation-

Tecamac -2 Zone at Capacitation

This zone was awesome- as I totally interrupted the beginning of their capacitation- I think the zone leaders were going to redo the opening song to bring the spirit back after all the injections.
Only one screamer in this group...

Leadership Consejo- 5th November 2014

Look how we just keep growing?

One new set of zone leaders and one more set of sister leader trainers.

Thanks to Hermana Bailey who took pictures with my camera while I was running around...

Lunch was honey baked ham, potato casserole, corn, green salad, frog eye salad, garlic bread and pumpkin bars for dessert and birthday cake that the Sister Leader Trainer Trainers brought. Though its a tight fit (#42) when feeding everyone in the house; it is so much fun being in the mission home that we will continue to do it as long as we can before we have to move it to a chapel.

Thank you so much for being such a great group of leaders...

I love the matching Ties of Zone Leaders Elder Clark and Elder Smart

Simona (above) who comes and helps me clean up after the event and her cute grandson.
He wanted to see all the missionaries. Simona is a church employee for 20+ years and until the mission opened was on the landscaping maintenance crew for this area. She is an angel...

 Heading Out...
