( English Speaking Sister with one year in the mission)
Hola Presidente ,
"I'm grateful because our Heavenly Father let us help this family. Two
moths ago we helped them to return to Church, now they're happy serving The
Lord and we helped the younger sister to being baptized and now we
will help the father to receive the Gospel and enjoy the blessings to have an
eternal family." Elder Castano/ Elder Steadman: Guerrero Ward
This picture is extra special as one year ago this family was baptized and now one year later they attended the temple. The Hermana's who were involved in their conversion will consider this the greatest Christmas Present ever!
Estoy
tan agradecida! AMO ESTA OBRA"

Dear President Egbert,
One of my goals for this week is to practice more my
English skills. I'm sorry if you don't understand what I'm saying, but the more
I practice, the more I'll learn. Anyway, this week was good. My companion and I
found new people that are interested in hearing from the message, and one of
our investigators wants to be baptized with her whole family. We still need to
talk and teach his husband first, but her daughter is really impressed with the
message we try to share.
What impresses me the most during this week is the fact
that missionary work is hard, but it is worth it. I love that at the end of the
day I'm tired, but at the same time I'm happy 'cause I work for our Heavenly
Father.
Last week, my dad send me a advice that I'll never forget
during my entire mission, and I will like to share it with you.
adversario..... Así que recuerda aquella frase . . . .PODEMOS PENSAR DIFERENTE
PERO ESO NO NOS CONVIERTE EN ENEMIGOS . . . . Aprende a amar a tu compañera
. . y? Mirala observala y preguntate en tu
mente . . . . . LA HE AMADO SUFICIENTE?
. . . .No has
. . . valio la pena lo amargo por
saborear lo dulce..."
The words of my dad penetrated my heart. No matter how
different my companion can be, I need to love her. I mean, I do love her, and
we are different, but the truth is that I've learn so much from her that the
only thing I think is how thankful I am for knowing her. After all, we are all
different, and God love us the same. If God loves all of us who are different
and we want and try to be like Him, why shouldn't we love one another?
Thanks a lot for your time to read this words. Hope
everything is great. Say hi to sis. Egbert!!
Love,
Sis. B

Dear President,
This week was super good! We are seeing lots of blessings
and little miracles and i know it is because of our obedience! I want to share
a couple things from this week..
We had some really special lessons with our progressing
investigators, Lordes and the Familia Reyes! We taught The Word of Wisdom and
Law of Chastity this week.. sometimes those ones are a little harder, but they
went super great! We had members that came with us that help a ton and I had a
really special experience in the lesson with the Familia Reyes when we taught
word of wisdom. I could honestly feel the spirit testifying through me. I have
never had the happen here in the mission yet, where the words just pour out of
my mouth and i feel the spirit so strong. It was amazing and they are such a
great family! They all committed to quit drinking coffee and there son, Mario,
wants to quit smoking and drinking. It will be a process, but they are doing so
well! So proud and excited for them! :) Eternal Family in the making!
This week we really saw the hand of the Lord in the work!
Here is the story.. Well, we were looking for a house and we thought we found
it.. until someone else opened the door. BUT, instead of apologizing and trying
to find the right house, we take it as an opportunity to share the gospel! We
explained we were missionaries and wanted to bless their home, and they said
yes! Well, long story short, we had another lesson with them later in the week,
and they are amazing! SO PREPARED! They accepted baptism! I hope they will be
able to stick to it, but they are so great! Mariana and her son, Ivan. Cant
wait to visit them again tomorrow! The Lord led us to the "wrong
house" on purpose.. tricky, but awesome ;)
I know that this is the Lords work and we are his
instruments. He is guiding us to where we should be and helping us to prepare
others to recieve the gospel.
Thanks for all you do!

(Exert from an Elders letter home to his family)
.....We had a super cool experience. We were traveling to the
food appointment i think the first week that we were there and we were in the
combi (public van transportaion) and we always try to contact all the people
that we can while we are just sitting there. Anyway, we contacted all the people
in the combi and not one of them really wanted anything. Until we asked the
lady sitting in the back of the van, and this lady told us that she was
actually a member from 8 years ago. and her husband was an ex-missionary (all
less active) Anyway she commented to us that she wanted us to come to her house because she has acutally been looking from some help. Long story short, it
turns out that her relationship with her husband is not very good. He works in
the district (d.f.) and occasionally comes and visits there home on sundays.
She got baptized but i think pretty much just because of her husband. directly
after her baptism she went in active. You can kind of tell because she doesnt
really remember anything.
She told us how she wanted to share this with her family
(2 sons) but the 14 year old son would always tell her that he didnt like that
religion. (non member) but we told her we would love to work and help the whole
family.
the first lesson we had with the whole family we started
out with a question. The question was simply "lets say we have 100 yrs to
live, what would you like to have, do or accomplish in these 100 yrs?" We
went around the room and everyone said what they wanted. Then we got to the 14
yr old son Raul. And he told us what he wanted and started getting choked up.
It was really sweet. Then we talked about how we can obligate the Lord to bless
us with our obedience. We ended the lesson with commitments to come to church,
read and pray as family (and they completed on all of those, and more.) The
whole family (including the dad) all came to church on Sunday and it looked
like they really liked it!

.....We had a miracle happen this week, so I guess I will
start off with that! Hna. Z accidently left her jacket at the tienda of an
investigator, which was totally fine until we returned home and she realized
that our keys were in the pocket. We got in the first door, thanks to an old
neighbor who lives above us. But, we had no idea what to do about the door into
our apartment. We got on our knees and prayed that we might know how to get in.
So, Hna. Z tried and tried to jimmy open the door with her plaque for 10 minutes,
to no avail. I was just praying and praying that we might be able to get in
somehow. After 10 minutes of trying, Hna. Z gave up. I reached into my bag and
pulled out 4 El es la Dadiva cards and shoved them behind the lock... CLICK.
The door opened! It was truly a miracle! We thanked our Heavenly Father for
watching over us and giving us the knowledge of how to get in. There is
absolutely no physical explanation to how those 4 cards could have opened that
door. All I can say is that El really is the Dadiva!!!....?

Dear President:
I hope you're well , I'm so happy. This week was amazing
for me!. First of all i felt the Spirit many times and i felt how the Lord used
me to do His work.
On wednesday we traveled to Pachuca, and we shared the
Gift! , I was so happy to be in the bus and i was near to a man who works in
Pachuca, we started to talk about Christmas and we was so kind with me and so
receptive to the message , after that i give my sit to a woman and i find other
place with other guy, we talked about CHRISTMAS again! and we had internet in
His cellphone so he saw the video with me , Hna DeFranco , Elder Peña and Elder
Clark all of us were talking and sharing the gift and start singing Christmas
songs and all the bus was so happy with us! after that we back to our zone and
we did the same. I'm so greatful for Christmas because make the hearts be
tender and kind. Well, then we had our zone training and divisions! and I was
here in the area, President i was so nervous ! because just one week in the
area but we prayed and we felt that i needed to be here with Hermana ____, I
felt humble and i was praying the whole day!. And miracles happened! of course
with the help of My Heavenly Father but one of our members told us that she
knows a friend here in porgreso and we have an appointment with him, but He
didn't answer! so She never give up! and she introduce us with other family! we
taught them and they gave us another appointment one of them the dad was so
interested in our message. After that we travled to other palce here in the
area, and in the combi we taught about Christmas and in that combi was
traveling one of our investigators and He shared His testimony! and after that
we asked Him if he can come with us to visit other ivnestigator over there ,
well my companion and I felt that He can be a good help for the Brother
Ignacio! and the Father confirmed us giving us this miracle. so we visited
Ignacio with Edardo ( investigator in the combi) with the stake's president -President Lozano. I can't even express my feelings about that lesson, We talked
about come unto Christ to be heal , all of us felt the Spirit and Even Hermana B_____ cried because we talked about death and she lost a good friend , I know
that changed her life I was so grateful to saw that miracles and that we
achieve the purpose in the divisions .
Other mriacle! (lots lots). We was walking and we found
Sister Nelly we helped her with her bags and after that she invited us to Her
house , her husband is less active his Name is Mateo, and we talked about
christmas he was decorating the house and the Christmas tree , He listened us
and he told us " I want to have faith " president i felt love for
Him, and we invited Him to Church... and he went! after almost 14 years! His
wife wept and gave us thanks.
Miracles happened , miracles if we listen the voice of
God .
President i love this work, i love Jesus Christ , I know
in this place i will find Him.
Sometimes is hard, but it will worth it.
With love .
