"A committed heart does not wait for conditions to be exactly right. Why?
Because conditions are never exactly right. Indecision limits the Almighty and His ability to perform miracles in your life. He has put the vision in you- proceed!
To wait, to wonder, to doubt, to be indecisive is to disobey God."
Headed out the door to go to work:
Do we have...
A Plan? CHECK!
Scriptures? CHECK!
Folletos? CHECK!
Keys? CHECK!
The Spirit? CHECK!
Our Cascos!(Helmets) oh si si...CHECK!
We are missionary READY!
Got to make sure we have our protection physically /spiritually!

Presidente,
Terminamos a orar y momentos
diferente.
Cuídese mucho presidente.

Getting our SERVICE on!
"If you end the day still looking pretty and clean that means
you didn't work hard enough.....lets just say "short story" to this
photo is that we were trying to be like the Savior. It can be a lot more work
than you think! But it is ALWAYS worth it!
ALWAYS"

dear president,
this was a very interesting week and i just want to write
it to you in english. our investigator passed away, this past thursday.
something that has been very shocking to me, he had a baptismal date on the
20th but he had a hard time with drinking alcohol. we saw him on wednesday
twice, he was a little buzzed from drinking and he asked us if we were going to
stop by and we said that we would. when we stopped by his house, he wasnt
home...but as we were leaving he was coming home. he told us to come in but we
had already taught something to his wife and we needed to go to another lesson,
we told him that we couldnt but that we would stop by within the week, he shook
our hands and we said goodbye. never did i think president, that in less than
12 hours that he would be dead. he passed away because he had a stroke while he
was sleeping and his wife found him without life on his bed. they called us to
go see the family and to offer a prayer, we prayed, sang hymns with the members
and we gave some words of comfort. it is crazy for me to see someone with life
and in a couple of hours just be gone.
I thought a lot of some of the experiences we had with
him, about 3 weeks ago he had accepted a baptismal date...lessons after lessons
he had said no but this day was special. this day his heart was soften and he
had asked us, si su alma podria ser rescatada...y pues si podria como le
haceria para obtener lo asi. he gave a feverent prayer and he strived to not
fall in temptation, but his vice got the best of him and he ended up drinking a
couple of days before his own death.
my heart was broken, because i wasnt able to see this man
make a promise with his heavenly father on earth..but this plan is so perfect
that he still has a chance in the other side. Ive decided to help my
investigators understand more that there is a plan, but this life isnt
guaranteed. I think that what I have learned a lot through out my mission is
that I need to value every minute that I have on this earth, that I need to be
a disciple of my savior and help others understand his perfect plan for all of
us. and I need to love everyone, that I wont leave this earth without letting
everyone know that I love them and appreciate them. like someone once said, Si
quieres hacer feliz a alguien que quieras mucho… díselo hoy, sé muy bueno en
vida, hermano, en vida…No esperes a que se muera la gente para quererla y
hacerle sentir tu afecto en vida, hermano, en vida. I know that we need to do
this during our time on this earth, and I also know with all of my heart that
the plan of salvation is the true plan of our Heavenly father. do you know what
this investigator has in front of his vase of ashes, the plan of salvation. he
said when he passed away, he didnt want a cross or any image of a saint..he
wanted something that represented the resurection of our savior.
its amazing that this isnt the first time that someone I
have known and cared about has passed away, its amazing because Heavenly Father
is teaching me more about this plan until I understand it fully.
I love you president, and I appreciate you and your wife.
con mucho amor,
hermana A

Pachuca Sur Zone Activity for this cycle...
I think it was "crazy" clothes day?!
"For our zone activity, we had a race.. We had to hop on one
foot with our companion, belly slide on a tarp with shaving cream and confetti,
and then put an oreo on our face and push down to our mouth.. I went first on
the shaving cream..."

Zone Capacitation Wednesday June 10th in Tulancingo
I was fortunate to attend this zone and what a fantastic job they did with such a great spirit! I loved how smoothly practices went and how well the whole zone participated!
I'd give this capacitation an #11 on a scale of 1-10!
When I arrived all but one missionary had tested for English! Impressed....
Nice job...

Zone Capacitation Wednesday June 10th in Pachuca Mex Zone
President attended this zone capacitation and was impressed as well!
So proud of our missionaries and their re-commitment to step it up a notch and put into action all the things we have been taught and encouraged to do by Elder Bednar, Elder Arnold, and President Egbert to move the work forward in this part of His vineyard.

Thursday Night Blessings
Our middle daughter Taysia Kai, her husband Chris and their daughter Emri Mae (22 months) came to visit us for a few days. What a treat... and the missionaries were so mindful of their presence here.
Phone calls were practically non-existent for those few days. Thank you so much....
She is so full of spunk and so tiny compared to what we see when we Face-Time with her!
She warmed up to us quickly though she probably wondered who these crazy people were that kept trying to hug here!
Taking a little walk with Grandma before going to the church and mission office.
She almost looks native with her little Mexican dress on... minus the blond hair!

Hermana Peterson with a broken foot... released two weeks early from the mission. "She was not a big fan of the crutches". We were blessed to have a trio of sisters in the mission, so we were able to rearrange companionships.
"Getting started, getting finished- both ends of a journey require a demonstration of 'passion'! Passion breeds conviction and turns mediocrity into excellence! With passion, you can overcome insurmountable obstacles. You can become unstoppable!"
Thank you for all the time put into this blog! It's so fun to see our boys (and girls) hard at work. And I'm really glad you got to see your kids and grandkids this week!
