"I encourage everyone, young and old, to review goals and objectives and strive to exercise greater discipline. Our daily conduct and choices should be consistent with our goals. We need to rise above rationalizations and distractions. It is especially important to make choices consistent with our covenants to serve Jesus Christ in righteousness."
- Elder Quentin L Cook

Pachuca Mex Stake Conference 28 June 2015
President spoke 4 times. Last night at the Priesthood session, then the adult session and then in two sessions today at different chapels to accommodate the members of the Stake. All the leadership and choir jumped in cars and taxi's at the conclusion of the one meeting and raced to the other church where the members were quietly waiting for that conference to start. It was a marvelous Sunday. We work with amazing Stake Presidents and members in the Mision Mexico Pachuca.
We love any opportunity to see our wonderful missionaries and they even commented that my talk in Spanish was understandable... improving..."little by little"... they 'spur' me on!

Hola Presidente buenas tardes
Esta semana fue buena. Estoy haciendo la Purificación
Misional y estoy aprendiendo tanto.
y tener tanto esperanza. Yo amo la misión.....

Each new convert with a story and journey....
"First baptism in allloonnngggg time in this ward! Pablo on the right Baptised Felipa and then he left this last Wednesday on his mission to Argentina! Pablo was a ward missionary, and the second counselor in the Elders Quorum, and was there in just about every lesson. He was preparing to go on his mission so he would go on a lot of half days with us and one time he was with us for a full day! We gave him a laminated picture of us and the "Fourth Missionary" as a going away gift in case his president isn't as awesome as President Egbert.
The second picture is from this last weekend, Jaqueline was baptized! She was a friend of the family of Pablo, and we barely had to do anything because she was always keeping her commitments and more! She was a dream investigator!"
We are so proud of Elder Garza and Elder Johnson
These two Elders have been busy moving the work forward in Ixmiquilpan!
Elder Davis and Elder Lopez (nice job)
Come rain or more rain... the work moves forward in Xicotepec!
Looking sharp Elder Paynter and Elder Vigil

" Alejandra is the daughter of our recent convert. When we
would go to their home to teach her dad, she would hide in her room and she
never wanted to go to church with us. Her dad got baptized and we started to
teach her, but she was very reluctant at first, but a miracle happened the
members started to visit her, and with one visit to mutual..she changed her
mind and decided to be baptized she started to listen to us with an open heart. It's a miracle from the members work, without the members Alejandra probably
would have taken more time to be baptized. We know that its so important to
work with members especially because these converts grow a strong relationship
with them.
ella fue un milagro."

Hola Presidente!
Okay, pues tuvimos una semana buena. Siento bien con
nuestro esfuerzo.
hace 2 meses? hace 5 meses?!"
ANIMO!!!!!!!

PICTURE GALLERY....
Our grandson's sent this picture to President this week as they were at Lake Powell on the house boat... we miss our family but we know we are where we are supposed to be and we know one day they will be serving missions like all our amazing missionaries here in the Mision Mexico Pachuca.
Some times you need to climb to get that area map marked correctly!
"I kinda like this dog"
The cute sister in the middle just left for her mission!!!

puerta. Y empezamos a enseñarle.

Me encanta

... THE ANTICIPATED ARRIVALS
Monday - 22 June 2015
Welcome, introductions, a little breakfast and interviews with President. Then out the door with missionaries who reside close for the day/night.

Dear President:
This week was good, with the news that we both have
changes. I am a little sad but I know how the changes are.
In this area I could meet people for whom I am grateful
to see a change in their lives. One of them is Julio, I remember how we find
Julio, we were knocking some doors, we knocked like 25 doors without a good
answer, it was raining and we had only 10 minutes to go back home. I was
frustrated and I wanted to go home, we had more than 10 contacts and we could
say that we had made our part. After to talk for some seconds we decided to
knock one more door, and there we find Julio Cesar, after that short lesson
that we had, he fulfill each commitment that we leave with him, now he is
reading 11 pages of the Book of Mormon, he is attending to the church, and he
is going to be baptized in a few days, he changed his life, because he has been
prepared for the Lord.
I know that in each place that we go are people waiting
for us.
I am excited for the changes.

AND THEN THE ANXIETY FILLED DAY OF MISSION WIDE TRANSFERS....
Enter at your OWN RISK!
"Hola- welcome to the Mision Mexico Pachuca!"
(They remembered each other from the same school)
"No Elder Ford.... Please don't leave us!"
Usually the relationship between a new missionary and his trainer is unique and a friendship that will last a lifetime. That is what happened with these two!
Elder Garcia and Elder Pass... Opened Ixmiquilpan 12 weeks ago.
A quiet parking lot means things are ready to "rock-n-roll" in the church!
Special thank you to those who helped with this transfer cycle:
- Hosts to new missionaries: Elder Pearson, Elder Jensen, Elder Groesbeck, Elder Carlson, and Hermanas Guerreo/Vasquez
- Piano-Elder Groesbeck
- Music Director-Hermana Angulo
- Luggage Tagging,Taxi Directing, and Security - Elder Jensen/Elder Jardines
- Mail Disbursement- Hermana Vasquez
- Photography- Hermana Guerrero
- Luggage Loading/Traffic Management for Departures: Elders Jensen/ Jardines and President Egbert
This transfer cycle was one of our smallest in quite sometime which is a nice change.
Many companionship's staying together another cycle.
This picture to me depicts the moment when Elder Pass (left) is in deep thought that this is really the last transfer meeting, that his two years are over, and that tomorrow he will be home reunited with family. A surreal moment!
A little emotion seeps through once in awhile and always touches my heart...

New arrivals introduce themselves to the mission and share a brief message of what is in their hearts....
President then calls all the trainers forward and speaks of that most important assignment.
President then shared an inspired message... pertaining to Lucas 5 - Lucas 22
"Like the Lord regardless of what may be asked of us- we need to be willing to say "Thy will be done"... Working daily as missionaries, with new companions, new assignments, or opening new areas with the attitude of "Thy will be done".
Everyone stood and sang "Called to Serve"...

And then the faces of CHANGE

ORGANIZED CHAOS!

Missionaries returning home share the feelings of their heart and a brief testimony. This brings the spirit so quickly to transfer meeting. Elder De La Cruz
"Don't worry Mom. Headed to open a new area, with a new missionary!" GAME ON!!!
Missionaries returning home share the feelings of their heart and a brief testimony. This brings the spirit so quickly to transfer meeting. Elder Pass- Elder Ford
President are you sure about these two together???
These two are too stinkin' cute!
Need to give that guy with the red tie a raise-
No better traffic director and luggage loader!
Elder Sanchez our outstanding VISA secretary
Keeps everyone here in Pachuca LEGAL!
Leaving the people of Mexico is harder than they ever imagine!
Well.... until next time August 4th

EVIDENCE that one of them made it home safely!
Thank you Mom Ford for the pictures... your son will be missed here in the Mision Mexico Pachuca.
Sweet reunion that started with a "handshake" - Elder Ford had not seen his brother for 3 1/2 years as they overlapped in their mission service.

Friday New Trainer/New Missionary Orientation
Elder Pina and Elder Reese decided to SMILE...
New missionaries seated and trainers standing behind their companion
Forgot the popcorn AGAIN for this 15 minute video!
Bicycle Safety Video.... (So attentive!)
President stated that the leaders did an "EXCELLENT" job in orientation!
Office Secretaries/Sister Leader Trainer Trainers review finances with the new missionaries while the assistants take 45 minutes to review "The first 12 weeks" with the trainers.
Then the Assistants/Sister Leader Trainer Trainers take 45 minutes and review essential material in the missionary handbook.
Reviewing menu planning, buying groceries, medical protocol and instructions...
Anyone need bed sheets or pillowcases?
"We are not alone... the mission isn't easy but it is doable and rewarding! This really is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
We have 18/24 months to serve and the rest of our lives to talk about it!"
President add's through the training morning as needed and then always ends the orientation with an inspiring message for about 30 minutes.
Everyone gets a treat- drink and they head back out to their areas.
Separating groceries for companionship's to take home after Hermana Egberts lesson.
Yep.... this is going to be a great generation of missionaries!
Me recuerda mi tiempo
