Gracias por la carta de la semana pasada. Vimos los resultados, al ser insistentes recibimos 28 referencias, y como distrito recibimos 74, wow cada dia aumenta mi testimonio que el Señor inspira a sus siervos, como usted.

El distrito esta trabajando muy bien, estamos teniendo investigadores en la Iglesia, estamos haciendo la actividad de PME, estamos trabajando mas con los miembros....

Hola Presidente!!

En esta semana hemos encontrado muchas personas con las cuales se quieren bautizar. Es extraño ver cómo todo viene más fácilmente cuando uno se esta esforzando por ser más obediente. He aprendido que hay que mejorar las cosas chiquitas para ser obediente. Siempre he pensado que fueron las cosas grandes que nos impedían tener una convicción más fuerte del espíritu pero no es así. La verdad, mi opinión desde que empecé mi misión ha sido que sólo importaba ser "obediente" y no "obediente con exactitud". Yo estaba equivocado. Aun las cosas chiquitas como estar en una lección mas de 45 minutos, empezar los estudios un poco más tarde, levantarse un poco después de la hora, el no hacer los 10 contactos diarios nos impiden tener una conversión propia y una convicción fuerte del espíritu. Cuando habló usted en la reunión de cambios en cuanto a la obediencia y las consecuencias que provienen de la desobediencia me sorprendí. Pensaba que no era pecado para nosotros el desobedecer las reglas misionales. Así que me sorprendí un buen cuando lo dijo que así era. A donde voy con eso es esto. Todo viene más fácil cuando la persona está siendo obediente con exactitud. Que uno se sienta mejor consigo mismo cuando guarda todo lo que se nos pide. Todavía tengo mucho que mejorar pero estoy agarrando la honda de más cosas que antes y es por esa razón por la cual me siento mejor hacia mi Padre Celestial, Salvador y conmigo mismo. Le agradezco mucho Pres. Le amo.

Presidente buenas tardes:

Me da muchísimo gusto escribirle hoy, le digo que hemos tenido días bastante buenos, mi compañero y yo hemos experimentado grandes experiencias, entre ellos le cuento lo que pasó esta semana:

encontramos a una señora ella tiene como 40 años, se llama ilda, fue una referencia de una investigadora que tenemos, al llegar a su hogar, nos dijo que había estado orando mucho para que Dios le diera una señal para que supiera de que realmente existe, sentí la impresión de decirle algo y fue de esta manera: hermana Dios le ama y le conoce, él se preocupa por usted y es por eso que estamos aquí, sus ojos se llenaron de lágrimas al escuchar eso, ella nos dijo. ahora sé que Dios realmente existe porque les ha enviado a aquí, se sintió un espíritu muy fuerte, aceptó todas las invitaciones, y de hecho hicimos las preguntas para ver si había alguien más que se podía beneficiar de un mensaje de Jesucristo de inmediato nos dio una referencia acerca de su vecina que estaba pasando situaciones similares a la de ella, fue maravilloso cómo el espíritu llenó nuestras bocas, y de hecho mi compañero sin trabarse le testificó que Dios en realidad vive y que nos conoce.

Presidente no cabe duda que las preguntas para encontrar nuevas personas son inspiradas por el señor, y lo hemos estado haciendo y puedo testificar que en realidad funciona, sólo hay que hacerlo.

Le cuento que con mi compañero todo va super bien, su español está progresando mucho, ahora estamos practicando mucho las “r” , él ya empieza a tomar la iniciativa, tanto para enseñar como para contactar a personas y lo que me encanta es que él es muy valiente, y no le da miedo de hablar. Gracias por sus enseñanzas presidente Le amo.

......To be honest, these past two weeks have been really difficult. I never realized how important to my happiness communication was until I wasn't really able to do it. The first days I was doing all right, and they mostly just passed in a blur, but then I started getting frustrated because I could never understand people or express myself. I'm a lot better now, though. There are definitely worse trials in life. It really helped to have an interview with our District Leader because he was trying to speak in Spanglish so that I could understand better and telling a few funny stories and I could tell his English was still progressing but he still made me laugh, and so I felt like maybe I could still help people with my attitude and personality even if I can't speak their language very well right now.

I have seen some pretty amazing miracles this week! The main one is that when we're actually in a lesson, I can understand almost everything people say. Or if I don't understand their words, I still get their basic feelings and meaning. And a few times when I "opened my mouth" it was definitely filled. Not every time, but sometimes. So I know the Lord is helping me out.

We were really happy this week when 2 of our investigators came to church! Ame and Aichah. They are 13 and 14, and they're so great! They're reading in the Book of Mormon, and Ame especially seems to feel those truths. We also had an amazing lesson with Anabel yesterday, who committed to pray and get baptized. That lesson was one where I definitely felt like I had the gift of tongues, and the Spirit was so strong! I have felt the Spirit very strongly more on my mission than ever before in my life. Even though there are definitely hard parts to serving, those moments where you can feel the Spirit and you can tell your investigator does too makes it all worth it......

Hola Presidente,

Espero a escribir mi carta todo en Español eventualmente, pero ahora, yo necesito escribir en ingles para explicar los pensamientos en mi mente.

So right now we have around 30 or 40 future investigators we are trying to move over to progressing investigators. And we are still contacting. For about an hour each day (because we have appointments that fall through) we contact a near-by street that we have not yet been down. There is a lot of work here, a lot of area. I could be here for all two years of my mission and still not get done half the work possible because there is so much. But, I don't let that get me down. We stay busy and are able to get a lot done here.

My companion is teaching me a lot. Slowly but surely I am learning and comprehending the language and am able to participate more and more in the lessons with investigators, menos activos, etc. We are currently working on those porciones breves and "trouble-shooting" or answering the questions asked to us by investigators and others. It helps a lot. Como comenzar a enseñar is also coming.

The spirit helps out a lot in the lessons, I am able to comprehend so much better than when we just try talking to a person or member on the street. But the language is coming.

I am enjoying this adventure of being a missionary and serving my Lord and Savoir. There is stress all the time, sometimes too much (like trying to figure out if I budgeted my money right with the envelope system or not), but I work through it, knowing all will be okay and that I have help. I am learning a lot when I try to find answers to questions for investigators or when I prepare to teach a specific person. I am able to learn something new that I originally didn't.

Now, something funny. So this week while we were contacting, we met a nice old gentleman. All I understood from what he said was he didn't want to listen to us, but wanted to explain why. Then he said something about the Virgen María and some ailment he had because of his age. after about twenty minutes, he finally let us go (more like we ran for it after he started up again, after saying goodbye and we'll come again to teach him, of course. We represent Jesus Christ, we are still kind to everyone). That was very interesting.

Thanks for all the support and prayers our way. We see the difference.

Buenas Tardes Presidente!!!

Esta semana ha sido,muy buena, gracias a Dios, estamos trabajando, y se esta viendo el exito...

El sabado en la noche, estaba lloviendo mucho por nuestra area, y algunas de nuetsras citas cayeron,y estabamos de camino a la casa,cuando pasamos por una casa, y habia un Señor afuera, a punto de cerrar su puerta, nos saludo mientras cerraba la puerta en ese instante sentimos que debiamos contactarlo, le contactamos, y dejamos una bendicion en su hogar, y le invitamos a bautizarse y acepto fecha y acepto asistir a la capilla, al dia siguiente.. fue muy especial, conocer al Hno Benjamin, al salir de la casa el domingo, y pasar por el, ya estaba listo para ir ala capilla, llevaba su libro de mormon :) staba muy feliz, al llegar a la iglesia se sintio muy bien, y le gusto mucho, hasta nos comento que cada 8 dia va a estar hay en la iglesia con nosotras, es muy bueno, y tuvimos una cita y enseñamos l.1 y mientras estabamos enseñando sobre la oracion, nos dijo, hermanas, yo, cuando era pequeño me bautize,pero puedo bautizarme otra ves, de la manera correcta? no hace nada??... wooooowww. nos quedamos tan solprendidas, al saber el deseo del hno Benjamin,de hacerlas cosas como Jesucristoenseño, es tan maravilloso como el Señor pone en el momento indicado, las personas que estan mas que preparadas, y listas para escuchar,...me siento tan agradecida, de poder estar receptiva a la guia del espiritu santo,y seguirlas impresiones en el momento indicado...

En la semana, estube preparando mi discurso en English, la verdad es una gran privilegio de poder, usar ese conocimiento en english, y usar palabras tan edificantes y maravillosas, . esa la ves un gran reto, pero se que mi Padre Celestial me ayudara,a hacerlo de una manera muy especial..
